Selenium Tone

To be honest, I'm usually not one for special effects and lots of post-production manipulation of my photographs.  But I have to say:  sometimes I love this selenium tone.  Not all the time, but sometimes it just really works.  This is Francoise and Joseph on their wedding day recently.  I thought this was a lovely, classic image.  Very simple.  Soft light on her hair.  This was taken at a gem of a little park in Bayridge, Brooklyn.

Yelena + Jordan

Yelena and Jordan recently got married at the Audubon Center in Prospect Park.  It's an old boathouse that's been converted into a nature center, and it provides a beautiful setting for a sunset ceremony by the lake.  Yelena, the bride, is so beautiful and has such great taste.  Her dress, shoes, bouquet, everything were so exquisite, it was a feast to photograph!  And her husband Jordan is the best.  Yelena is an editor at Brides magazine, and found this parasol in their prop closet.  Isn't it great?!
